You are trying to connect your computer to Internet through Wi Fi or LAN (Wired Connection) , but the network icon in the notification pane shows ‘No Internet Access’. This may occur due to several reasons like improper functioning of Wi Fi card and/or LAN Card. Here are the steps or possible fixes that you need to check out the below steps / possible fixes to this issue.

Check Signal Strength and connection status from modem or router
This is one of the most easiest thing to perform if the internet connection is not working. Be it a Wi Fi connection or Wired LAN Connection , you need to check whether the issue is only at your side , or , at your ISP (Internet Service Provider) side. If the issue is at ISP side, you can not do anything except waiting for the things to be sorted out properly. If everything is okay from ISP side, check out the next step to fix the connection.
Switch Off and On the modems and / or routers
It is observed sometimes that switching off and On the devices can fix small issue like frequent disconnections at router level , which prevent you to connect with the internet. Moreover, check if the cables are connected properly or not. If your issue still can’t get solved , check the next step.
Try Rebooting devices
You can reboot your device (PC/Laptop/Mobile Phone or tablet) and check whether it connects to the internet or not.
Disable and Enable the Wi Fi or Internet LAN Adapter
This is one of the most likely reason for No Internet access message on your device. Sometimes after Windows update, the PC can not connect to the internet directly. Under such circumstances, you should try this out. Moreover, in some of the Dell PCs and Notebooks, this fix can help like a charm and you can connect to internet very easily after applying this fix.
How to disable and enable Wi Fi / LAN Adapter ?
If you are using Windows 7 , you can go through these steps to disable and enable adapters.
1. In start Menu Search Box, type ‘Network Connections’ and click on View Network Connections.
2. In the newly opened Window, you’ll find various network connections according to the hardware connected.
3. Right Click on appropriate connection (Wi Fi or Local Area Connection) and select disable.
4. Wait for 1-2 seconds and enable it by right clicking and selecting.
For mobile phones and tablets , you can do this via Settings > Connections menu. However, this process varies from device to device.
Most probably, your internet connection would start working like earlier.
If you still can not connect to internet , there should be some serious issue with your connecting devices like modem/router or with LAN / Wireless (Wi Fi) card adapter.
